It's the 26th May and Camille is warming up for her 2nd bout. Preparation has been great and I feel that from a coaching perspective, I've provided decent input with regards to making weight, fitness and tactics for tonight. Pads went well and Camille is relaxed, yet focused. I have no concerns.
Just another kind of stress
3 weeks ago, I was worried because I did not feel the stress of my coming bout. Then, I learned that I was matched with a girl.
Camille’s first bout.
It was a long time coming and I couldn't have been more excited in the lead up to Camille's bout. The preparation was spot on - runs completed, comfortably on weight, sparring going well... Everything was peaking when it should have been.

That first session, I was in love - it was the hardest workout I had ever experienced... But my competitive side would not let up, I needed to keep up with the rest... That was then, this is now...
“I am not a female, I am a boxer”
What it is the be a woman boxing at EBC? It is great because of the passion and the coaches philosophy.
Sparring: Boxing is mentally technical and technically mental.
Over the past few months, I have been lucky to have Adrianne looking for occasions that I spare with other females. Two weeks ago, I went to Sussex development squad sparring session, then last week to Eastbourne Boxing Club where a few clubs were invited. I have discovered a whole new lot about myself, including that I am a frantic boxer and that’s not good!
Butt’s Brow – The Bummer Run.
“The most important attribute a player must have is mental toughness” – Mia Hamm. I've made August ''mental toughness month'' for Camille. It began with last week with a surprise run to' Butt's Brow'', the Mt Vesuvius of Eastbourne... By Coach Adrianne
